Built on clinical need. Designed for reality.

Our Story

Nordic Phantoms was founded on a simple observation: some of the most critical medical procedures are also the ones clinicians get the least opportunity to practice.

The idea began during a master’s thesis exploring simulation in upper GI procedures, with a focus on endoscopic procedures and bleeding management. What became clear was that for many rare, high-risk procedures with steep learning curves, realistic training tools were simply not available. This limitation extends beyond training and directly impacts patient safety.

Instead of approaching this as a purely technical challenge, Nordic Phantoms was built around collaboration. From the very beginning, clinicians and engineers have worked side by side, combining clinical insight with technical expertise to create solutions that reflect real-world complexity.

The first prototype was developed in close partnership with clinicians and iterated through real-world testing. In 2025, this work resulted in our first product on the market: the UpperGI Bleed Phantom.

Today, we continue to design and manufacture realistic training phantoms rooted in clinical need. Our work is driven by interdisciplinary collaboration, rapid iteration, and a shared goal: to make it easier to train for the procedures that matter most.

Bringing these solutions to life requires more than ideas and engineering – it also requires support. We are grateful to those who have believed in us and supported us along the way.
