Description
The UpperGI Bleed Phantom is a modular training platform designed for realistic endoscopic training and management of upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
The phantom features three interchangeable insert positions representing the esophagus, ventricle, and duodenum. Each position can accommodate different training inserts, allowing the same phantom to be adapted to a wide range of clinical scenarios and procedures.
The UpperGI Bleed Phantom is supplied as a complete training solution, including a protective flight case, three inserts, 500 ml of simulated blood, and lubricant.
The three included inserts provide a starting point for training across the upper gastrointestinal tract, with one insert for the esophagus, one for the ventricle, and one for the duodenum. Additional inserts can be purchased separately to introduce different anatomical and clinical scenarios.
Bleeding inserts provide active bleeding for hands-on training in the identification and management of gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Depending on the selected insert, trainees can practice managing bleeding from different locations and pathologies.
The bleeding system can be refilled with simulated blood when needed, allowing the inserts to be used repeatedly for ongoing training.
The phantom is designed for use with endoscopes and provides a controlled and repeatable environment for developing endoscopic skills, procedural technique, and confidence in the management of upper gastrointestinal conditions.
